Schema Markup Generator
Schema markup is structured data that describes a page’s content in a standard vocabulary (schema.org) so search engines can understand it. This generator builds JSON-LD, the format Google recommends, from a simple form.

Generated Schema
Valid JSON-LD
Important: Structured data helps search engines
understand your content, but valid schema markup does not guarantee
a rich result or special search appearance. Make sure the markup
accurately represents visible content on the page.
Supported types
- Organization and LocalBusiness: name, URL, logo, contact details and social profiles.
- Article: headline, author, dates and image.
- Product: name, image, brand, SKU, price, currency and availability.
- BreadcrumbList, WebSite, JobPosting and ProfilePage.
How to use it
- Choose the schema type and fill in the fields (required ones are marked *).
- Select Generate Schema.
- Copy the JSON-LD, copy the ready-to-paste
<script type="application/ld+json">block, or download the JSON. - Test it with Google’s Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator before publishing.
Rules that keep markup useful
- Only mark up information that is visible on the page.
- Don’t add ratings, reviews or prices that aren’t real. That breaks Google’s structured data guidelines.
- Valid markup makes a page eligible for rich results; it doesn’t guarantee them.
Text you type is escaped so that characters like </script> can’t break the code block you paste into your site.
Adding schema to a WordPress site
- If you use Rank Math or Yoast, check what they already output. Both add Organization/WebSite and breadcrumbs, so you may only need types they don’t cover.
- For a single page, paste the generated
<script type="application/ld+json">block into an HTML widget or a header/footer code plugin restricted to that page. - Test the live URL with Google’s Rich Results Test and fix any errors or warnings.
Choosing a type
- Organization for brands and companies without a physical shop; LocalBusiness when customers visit a physical location.
- Product only on pages where the product can be bought or is described in detail.
- Article for news and blog posts; ProfilePage for a page about a single person or organisation.
- JobPosting only while the job is open. Remove it when the vacancy closes.
Frequently asked questions
Google supports both, but recommends JSON-LD because it is separate from the visible HTML and easier to maintain.
Structured data helps search engines understand a page and can make it eligible for rich results. It is not a direct ranking boost.
